Southeast Gassers Association
Southeastern United States
The Southeast Gassers Association runs front-engine, straight-axle gassers to a 1960s period rulebook — no electronics, no delay boxes, flag starts. It races at tracks across the Southeast and holds its Gulf Coast Nationals at Gulfport Dragway.
About this series
SEGA is a throwback series and one of the bigger crowd draws at any track it visits. Cars run to a period rulebook, which rules out the electronics that dominate modern bracket racing.
The series normally runs one race per weekend, with a relaxed test and tune on Friday evening. The 2026 Gulf Coast Nationals at Gulfport is a double feature, with full competition both Friday and Saturday.
