The Southeast Gassers Association brings its Gulf Coast Nationals to Gulfport Dragway for a two-day double feature — the fourth running of the event, and a first for the series, which normally runs a single race per weekend.

What to expect
Gassers are front-engine, straight-axle cars run to a period rulebook: no electronics, no delay boxes, flag starts. The class is a deliberate throwback to 1960s stock-car-and-street drag racing, and it draws crowds that do not otherwise turn out for bracket nights.
This weekend counts toward the 2026 championship, which changes the tone from the series' usual Friday format. SEGA normally runs a relaxed test and tune on Friday evening; here both days are full competition. Qualifying starts at 4:00 PM Central both days, three hours later than the series' typical start, with eliminations running into the evening.
